My World My Home: creating tomorrow’s environmental leaders
What’s My World My Home?
My World My Home is a prestigious leadership development programme for young people, in association with Friends of the Earth and SOS-UK. Over the course of a year, you’ll plan and organise a local community campaign that will positively benefit the local environment.
What’s in it for me?
- You’ll learn how to make positive changes happen in your community or college
- Build your confidence in public speaking, or in one-to-one conversations
- Meet other young people who share your concerns for the environment
- Earn digital badges recognised by universities & recruitment websites such as LinkedIn
- A 3-day, all expenses paid residential trip with other student activists
How does it work?
As part of the course, you’ll receive:
- 2 days of intensive training in community campaigning in your home city
- Campaigning guidance and support from a coach based in your region/city
- Volunteering opportunities in the wider climate movement
- Fortnightly one-to-one tuition and coaching
Graduation takes place at Friend of the Earth’s national youth gathering in July, with environmentalists from across the UK.
