My World My Home: creating tomorrow’s environmental leaders

What’s My World My Home?

My World My Home is a prestigious leadership development programme for young people, in association with Friends of the Earth and SOS-UK. Over the course of a year, you’ll plan and organise a local community campaign that will positively benefit the local environment.

What’s in it for me?

  • You’ll learn how to make positive changes happen in your community or college
  • Build your confidence in public speaking, or in one-to-one conversations
  • Meet other young people who share your concerns for the environment
  • Earn digital badges recognised by universities & recruitment websites such as LinkedIn
  • A 3-day, all expenses paid residential trip with other student activists

How does it work?

As part of the course, you’ll receive:

  • 2 days of intensive training in community campaigning in your home city
  • Campaigning guidance and support from a coach based in your region/city
  • Volunteering opportunities in the wider climate movement
  • Fortnightly one-to-one tuition and coaching

Graduation takes place at Friend of the Earth’s national youth gathering in July, with environmentalists from across the UK.

Primary areas working in:

London, East Midlands, South East Wales, Northern Ireland and Bristol
